I was just wondering If lua is a good programming language to learn first or if there are any other language's that might be better to learn and if there are any good tutorials for them?
Lua isn't the worst. Lua is C based which mean you'll understand other C languages like PHP and Python very easily after learning it. What do you ultimately want to accomplish, @greg?
I would like to be able to build web application.
For web applications, try to learn frontend code first (HTML and CSS). From there, I'd go with PHP. Lua isn't that widely used for web apps. It's used a lot for system programming.
I know I am going to sound so stupid but what is "system programming"
Low-level operating systems and kernel stuff. I do some of that
