It was just the second day of 2013 when we announced the launch of Clipped. Now, a little over a month since then, Clipped has reached a huge milestone. Tuesday, February 12th, Clipped reached their 1 millionth article summarized through the application.

Clipped, developed by Teens in Tech Incubator 2012 alum Tanay Tandon, is a platform that allowed individuals to have articles, documents, and more summarized. Currently done through an algorithm, Clipped hopes to incorperate OCR into the technology in the future. However, for now, Clipped is available for iOS, Android, as a Google Chrome plugin, and a bookmarklet.

The more articles Clipped summarizes, the better the algorithm gets in terms of accuracy. This is a signal that Clipped is continuing to improve it’s technology for something larger in the near future.

We’d like to again congratulate Tandon on this achievement. Also, if you haven’t done so yet, I advise you to check out Clipped – a sure fire way of simplifying the way you consume content.
