The 2012 Teens in Tech Conference on August 9th went off well, with hundreds of teenagers both in person and online being inspired by the youth speaking on stage. However, if you unfortunately missed the conference and the live stream, you are still in luck. We finally have video of the conference, separated into ten parts, that we will highlight this week. Stay tuned all week to catch what you missed from this year’s Teens in Tech Conference.

Following lunch, we were able to see Stacey and Scott Ferreira, the siblings behind MySocialCloud. The Ferreiras surprisingly came from differing interests before finding their common interest in MySocialCloud. Stacey had an interest in music, Scott in architecture. However, one curse that had befallen on both, multiple times, were hard drive crashes. These experiences sparked an interest in Stacey to leave behind NYU and Scott to divert from houses to providing a home for your social life.
Next up, Jeff Haynie of Appcelerator chronicled his experiences from learning how to code at 12 and starting his first business at 14, to being CEO and cofounder of Appcelerator. Haynie talked more about how his experiences in publishing allowed him to finalize his decision that programming, a passion of his from the beginning, was truly right for him. Jeff Haynie shows that you won’t always know what you want to do in life in the beginning. However, if you truly have a passion for it, you passion will find you.
