In 2011, we embarked on a journey that would take Teens in Tech Labs to the next level — an incubator program exclusively for young entrepreneurs who were serious about building amazing products, and gaining real world experience. At the beginning of this project, we didn’t know how much work it would be, what innovative ideas teens would bring to the table, and what we would find. But we were very happy with the effort and commitment of smart young entrepreneurs and are excited to announce, just six months after Demo Day 2011, that we’re back – announcing the 2012 Teens in Tech Incubator program!

In 2011, we successfully incubated six companies including Codulous, Bubbls, MySchoolHelp, BuildACircle, C&M Studios and Workcrib, debuting them at the annual Teens in Tech Conference hosted at the historic PARC auditorium in Palo Alto.

The 2012 Teens in Tech Incubator follows the same winning formula we ran in 2011 – an eight week hands-on program for entrepreneurs between the ages of 13-19 who are serious about building products.

With the support of great company partners like Appcelerator, SoftLayer and Globumbus, as well as 65 industry leading mentors and advisors, and many other resources, Teens in Tech is helping pave the way for young entrepreneurs to follow their passions.

Applications for the 2012 incubator open Wednesday, January 25th, and are accepted through April 25th. We will interview all interested applicants, and pick the five we feel will gain the most out of the incubator program. We are looking for more than just world-class companies, but more importantly, world-class young entrepreneurs serious about making their ideas a reality and gaining serious business experience.

If you are up for the challenge and an exciting summer with incredibly fast Internet and free snacks to boot, we encourage you to apply for the program, and take this as an experience to take your entrepreneurial spirit to the next level. Please join our 2012 class.
