In a report by AllThingsD, they believe that the launch of Rupert Murdoch’s, News Corp’s founder, the Daily has been set for the week of January 17th, with or without Steve Jobs on-stage to announce. With the launch of the Daily, rumor has it that a new recurring API will be available for developers to use to charge in-app subscriptions. The Daily would be the first app to utilize the API. The Daily is a newspaper hosted only on the iPad, that will charge readers weekly for reading privileges. The launch of this app is just around the corner.
