A new update to Foursquare’s iPhone app has brought a more social aspect to the service. Users can now comment and add pictures to their check-ins. Comments are something you’ve probably already been doing on Twitter when someone checks-in, so it was a pretty good idea Foursquare brought it in-house. Images can be uploaded along side a check-in, tip, or venue. With an update in 2011, the images can also be pushed to Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr.
On the privacy side the check-in images will only be available to your friends, unless the image is pushed to Twitter. As for tips and venues the images will be public to everyone.
The update will be available on Android next week and BlackBerry in January 2011.
