Either there is one huge lie roaming the internet or Apple has just let some very important details slip onto the internet. Details regarding the coming iPod refresh, a new iPad, a new iPhone, and most importantly more bumpers.

iPods

So let’s start with the new iPods since we have failed to see a decent refresh in a while now. The most interesting of the rumored iPods is a 1.7″ touchscreen device designed to replace the current iPod shuffle. Now whether or not a touchscreen will be ideal for gyms and working out, like the current shuffle, is yet to be known. And although I have my hesitations, I have a feeling Apple will manage to work it out. Following the shuffle replacement, is also a rumored 3″ iPod touch, which is smaller than the current iPod touch by half an inch.

Bumper 2.0

If you haven’t heard already, Apple is losing millions thanks to antennagate. Their now free bumper cases apparently have become more costly than they would like which explains the rumor of a new Bumper that will cut down on some of the costs. Said bumper will be made of pure silicon and will supposedly start shipping out of Apple stores in September.

New mini-iPad

More speculation has led sources to believe that Apple has a 7″ iPad still in Cupertino, waiting to be released. I believe that a device like this will be specifically to battle the recent Kindle update and price drop. If Apple can price this new device at around $200-$250 I do think that they will have Amazon running for the hills.

iPhone 5 Release Date

And to top off the pile of rumors and speculation, sources have claimed to have some details about the iPhone 5. Specifically that Apple will be bumping up the release of the fifth-generation phone to January of 2011. Once again I’m going to go off on a limb here and say that if this is true, we will be receiving a Verizon iPhone. Not only have rumors been flying around about AT&T’s contract with Apple ending next year, but also AT&T would be insane to accept this with free upgrades to all iPhone users.
