We have the pleasure of working with some amazing companies and brands at Teens in Tech, and the latest company to join that list is HP. Teens in Tech partnered up with HP to make a “Back to School” video with some of my back to school gadgets that you’re going to want to check out. For this video, I talked about four products for the students going back to school. You should also go ahead and give HP a follow over at Twitter, too.

InDinero Raises Over $1 Million In VC Funding
by Daniel Brusilovsky on 01. Sep, 2010 in News
InDinero, founded by Jessica Mah and Andy Su, has raised over $1 Million in venture capital funding. Mah, who was the keynote speaker of the original Teens in Tech Conference back in January 2009, has had a long road of entrepreneurial experiences, with InDinero being her latest.
Originally part of the latest batch of startups from Y-Combinator, InDinero aims to be the Mint.com of small businesses. What Mah sees with small business in managing their finances is a huge opportunity, and comparing the company to Mint, which sold for $170 Million to Intuit, is a good company to look up to.

10,000,000 Calls Placed In Gmail
by Jake Smith on 01. Sep, 2010 in Breaking, News
Google has just announced that 10,000,000 calls have been placed with the recently announced calling feature inside of Gmail. The new feature allows you to make calls in Gmail through your Voice number or a number Google provides. Along with the announcement of 10,000,000 calls, Google has passed along some tips that makes this feature more useful.
The fact 10,000,000 calls have been made is very impressive. This is a feature I predicted would take off, and it seems it has. I know it has taken off when I walked in my brothers room yesterday and saw that he was talking to a friend with this feature in Gmail. This shows me it has taken off main stream.
Amazon Offering 99-cent TV Show Purchases: ABC and Fox (Updated)
by Jake Smith on 01. Sep, 2010 in Breaking, News
Amazon has just released a way to rent TV shows for only 99-cents. Amazon’s new price cut comes right after Apple’s announcement of their 99-cent TV show rentals, available through their new Apple TV service. Amazon is making a way so you don’t have to wait for Apple TV, just go ahead and start renting now. As Engadget mentions this will cut the cost of renting TV shows for Roku users. I always love seeing Amazon competing with prices of other companies and trying to release a cheaper option.
Can’t wait for Apple TV rentals? Just go ahead and start buying from Amazon, because you can always import it into your Apple TV later.

Steve Jobs Appears Turtleneck-less *GASP*
by Daniel Brusilovsky on 01. Sep, 2010 in News
It wasn’t until I closely looked at the live video stream of Apple’s event today, that I noticed that Steve Jobs was turtleneck-less! I know, you’re jumping out of your seat right now, but it is true.
For the last, oh, I don’t know, past five years, I’ve seen Steve wear his regular “Traveler Cashmere Turtleneck Sweater” at almost every public Apple event, and it looks like Steve is switching to his summer wardrobe.
